Surveillance video shows a van slamming into a car that was occupied by a 15-year-old girl and her father, who were hospitalized in critical condition after the crash.
A man and his 15-year-old daughter were hospitalized in critical condition Wednesday night after a violent crash in Glendale that was recorded by a surveillance camera.
The crash occurred around 3:40 p.m. at the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and New York Avenue.
The video showed a dark-colored van driving into the intersection at what appeared to be a high rate of speed.
"It appears the van ran a red light," said Tahnee Lightfoot with the Glendale Police Department. "We don't know if this was due to distracted driving or mechanical failure."
In the middle of the intersection, the van slammed into a silver sedan carrying the father and daughter.
