Two Men and Boxes of Bathroom Tiles Causes Elevator to Plummet Down
CCTV footage shows two men inside a lift transporting boxes of bathroom tiles in an apartment building in Beirut, Lebanon. The pair can be seen talking when the elevator, which was travelling upwards, suddenly accelerated downwards on March 31. The men quickly braced themselves and ducked as the elevator jolted. Local media reported that they sustained bruises and minor injuries. Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident. |

Sure but elevators shouldn't really drop to the bottom like they do in Hollywood movies, the modern brake systems make it physically impossible. Which suggests someone replaced the expensive elevator safety systems with a bunch of doorstoppers during construction.
