Two Killed in Wrong-way, Head-on Crash, on State Road 429, Florida
Two drivers were killed Thursday morning in a wrong-way, head-on crash involving two other vehicles in Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The double fatal crash was reported at 10 a.m. on State Road 429 near mile marker 19. Northbound lanes of S.R. 429 were closed in the area. The road reopened shortly before 7 p.m. According to the FHP, witnesses said a white LandRover driven by 39-year-old K. B. was traveling in the grass median of S.R. 429 before driving south in the northbound lanes. The front of the LandRover struck an Isuzu truck that was traveling northbound, causing the truck to roll onto its side, troopers said. The truck was driven by 30-year-old D. S. The right side of a Toyota Camry, driven by a 38-year-old Davenport man, struck the side of the LandRover, the FHP said. The Isuzu ended up on the hood of a Chevrolet Cruze driven by a 27-year-old Winter Garden woman, officials said. B. was pronounced dead at the scene, according to troopers. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to an FHP report. S was taken to a hospital, where he later died, the FHP said. The drivers of the Camry and Cruze were not injured. The FHP initially identified the wrong-way vehicle as a Range Rove |

Re: Two Killed in Wrong-way, Head-on Crash, on State Road 429, Florida
Really hope the driver was having a legitimate medical problem rather than just being drunk. I've probably driven a bit more intoxicated than I should have- but you have to be REALLY fucked up to fail that bad that long. My drink of choice is everclear and even I'm sitting here thinking WTF?
