Two Dead, Two Injured when Orange Trophy Truck Hits Them
Two people died and two were injured, one of them possibly losing one of his hands, was the result of an accident that occurred on Thursday morning on the second day of the mechanical inspection of the Baja 1000. At the event held on Rotario and Dunas streets, next to the former Riviera hotel, it appears that the driver of the Trophy-type vehicle, marked with the number 79L, lost control of the vehicle, accelerating the car and hitting 4 fans of this sport, who were in front of them. Red Cross paramedics treated the injured, three of them were taken to a hospital for medical attention, while the fourth person did not require transfer; however, it was around 4:00 p.m. that the death of two injured people while receiving medical attention was confirmed, who were identified as Fred Goff James and Esteban Velásquez. For its part, the Municipal Public Security Department reported that the responsible driver was arrested to be transferred and placed at the disposal of the competent authority, to determine his legal situation. Mayor Claudia Agatón asks Score International to cover the expenses of injured people In restitution for the damages caused, Mayor Claudia Agatón Muñiz called on Score International to cover the medical expenses of the people injured in the accident |
