A deadly accident occured on the northbound inner lane of the Fengbi Tunnel in Hsinchu County, Taiwan, this morning, which involved a truck that, for reasons yet to be determined, collided with the tunnel wall. The impact subsequently affected a passenger car traveling nearby.

Emergency services were dispatched to the scene shortly after the incident was reported. Upon arrival, responders found the truck driver, identified as a 53-year-old male from Miaoli County, deceased and trapped in the vehicle's cabin. The driver of the passenger car, a 73-year-old male, sustained minor injuries.

First aid was administered to the injured driver at the scene before he was transported to the General Hospital for further medical evaluation and treatment.

Authorities are currently investigating the precise cause of the collision to understand the sequence of events that led to this fatal outcome.
