A 25-year-old truck driver died after crashing into the back of a truck that was parked on the shoulder of BR-251, in the rural area of ​​Fruta de Leite, last Sunday (23).

The accident was recorded by a camera installed in a mobile mechanic car that was parked on the other side of the road.

A truck stopped on the shoulder of the road with mechanical problems, which caused a traffic jam in the Salinas direction. After some vehicles stopped on the road, a truck, which was unable to brake, appeared on the shoulder of the highway, in the same direction as the pileup, and hit the back of the broken-down truck.

According to the Federal Highway Police, the truck, which was transporting PVC pipes and iron pipes, had brake problems, which resulted in the collision.

According to the Fire Department, the traffic jam involved five vehicles. Due to the strong impact, the truck driver was trapped in the wreckage and died at the scene.
