Thailand, On the afternoon of September 26, on the detour through Chonburi, driver Atthapong Thapthimthong, 42, was lighting a cigarette.

Suddenly, something flew through the windshield, and the man collapsed to the left. The truck lost control and crashed onto the side of the road.

Local police said they found a thick iron cross-shaped object suspected to have caused the accident. It may have fallen from another vehicle and was hit by a car driving in front of the six-wheeled truck, causing it to fly into the air.

The driver was left in a coma with a fractured skull and chest injuries. Doctors said further tests and monitoring were needed before deciding whether surgery was necessary.

Regarding the object found, a car garage owner in Chonburi said it was part of the car's center shaft. But it is unlikely that this part would have fallen out on its own.

Thai Trucker Suffers Freaky Accident

On September 26, 2014, footage from a surveillance camera inside a truck captured the moment when a mysterious object crashed through the windshield of the truck, hitting the driver's head with great force, causing the driver to lose consciousness. The truck, which was speeding, lost control and hit the side of the road, then plunged into a canal beside the road. The incident occurred on the Chonburi bypass road, heading into Bangkok, Tambon Ban Suan, Amphoe Mueang Chonburi.
