Truck Crashes into Gas Station in New Mexico, Triggers Fire and Canopy Collapse
In San Juan County, New Mexico, a truck crashed into a Speedway gas station after the driver lost control, leading to a fire and the collapse of the station's canopy. The incident, which occurred just before 6 p.m. Sunday, was captured on dashcam video by Tyler Turner, a patron at the gas station in La Plata. The truck, speeding into the parking lot, struck the gas pumps, igniting a fire. It then halted against a metal fence as the station's canopy collapsed from the impact. Authorities reported that the driver, who may have had a seizure before the crash, sustained minor injuries. The San Juan County Sheriff's Office confirmed there were no fatalities and alcohol was not a factor in the crash. The driver claimed to have no memory of the event, prompting an investigation by the Sheriff's Office. The dashcam footage is considered key evidence in understanding the crash's circumstances. |

Hope he's got enough gas to get to the next station. They are very far apart in New Mexico. Unless he was just stopping in to get a Slurpee or a hot dog. Or some gas station sushi. Then he was probably OK. |

What perfect timing for the recorder. Not so much for the recordee. The only deficiency is that the recorder could have parked his truck so we could see what he was seeing instead of facing a stupid, hick trailer.
