Triple Fatality Accident in Liberty County, Texas
DPS confirmed a 5-year-old child who was Life Flighted has passed away from the crash on FM 163 in Tarkington. The crash happened about 630 pm when a Dodge Avenger with a driver front seat passenger and 3 passengers in the rear crossed the center line and struck a Chevrolet Tahoe. The driver of the Tahoe was transported to Conroe Regional Hospital by ground ambulance. The female driver of the Dodge was transported by ground also to Conroe Regional Hospital. DPS believes to be the father of the driver in the Avenger died at the scene. A fifteen-year-old sister of the driver died at the scene. A 17-year-old female is still in critical condition at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. According to DPS the 5-year-old was in a child safety seat but several of the others were not wearing seatbelts. DPS is still investigating the scene and needs to interview both drivers before any additional information is available. |
