Train Slams into a Semi
yesterday a collision occurred between an InterCity passenger train and a truck at a railway crossing near the Gdańsk-Lipce station in Poland. Four people sustained minor injuries in the accident. The injured individuals included the truck driver, the train conductor, and two passengers. The 42-year-old driver was the only one who required transportation to the hospital for further medical evaluation, though he left the vehicle on his own and was conscious. The train, which was carrying roughly 250 to 300 passengers, did not derail, but the crash caused massive traffic disruptions on lines toward Gdynia and Zielona Góra. While initial reports and witnesses claimed that the crossing barriers were raised prematurely, official investigations and newly released CCTV footage shows different. The red lights were flashing but he still continued his way. |
