Train Derails in Indonesia

Police officers from the Kedungwaringin Police immediately moved quickly after receiving a report of the derailment of the Purwojaya train on the Jakarta-Cilacap route on the KM 56 crossing track around Kedunggedeh Station RT.001/001 Kedungwaringin Village, Kedungwaringin District, Bekasi Regency, on Saturday, 10/25/2025 afternoon.

"We immediately went to the location to secure the area and assist in the evacuation process for the train passengers," police said.

Upon arrival at the scene, police officers immediately coordinated with PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) officers and the Railway Special Police (Polsuska) to take action. The initial step was to set up a police line to demarcate the area from the crowd and ensure no one else could jeopardize the evacuation process.

The main priority in this handling was ensuring the safety of all passengers. The police, along with a joint team, immediately assisted in evacuating passengers from the derailed carriage and directed them to a safe location.

According to collected data, 220 passengers were safely evacuated, although some experienced panic.

"We are grateful that there were no fatalities in this incident, it was noted that one passenger who suffered minor injuries immediately received first aid from the medical team,".

In addition to assisting with the evacuation, the Kedungwaringin Police also managed traffic around the scene, which was temporarily disrupted by the incident.

Meanwhile, the Public Relations Manager of KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Ixfan Handriwintoko, when confirmed by the media crew, explained that the incident was due to the rear axle of the carriage coming loose as a result of the incident, which had an impact on delays for several train journeys.

"We apologize for the disruption to train travel due to this incident and aim to complete repairs as soon as possible," he explained.

Re: Train Derails in Indonesia

No problem! I can translate that!

"The garborcle was transdoodled by the migrator, and caused the resulting tussle on the undercarriage."

It's SIMPLE when you know how to do it!

Just wish I knew how to do it!

Last car dug its heels in, miffed at having to serve 'caboose' duty.
