05/21/2015. A tower crane collapsed onto a car park and apartment block in Kemerovo, central Russia killing the crane operator, a 53 year old woman. No one else was injured in the incident.

The 40 meter bottom slewing luffing jib crane, was apparently caught by strong gusts of wind said to have exceed 18 meters a second – 40 mph/65 kph.

The crane went over but rested on its jib for a while, before fully collapsing. A local resident caught the final fall on camera.
