SUV Driver VS Scooter Riders In Taiwan

A Taiwanese man surnamed Lin was driving a white private car at noon yesterday (June 20). He turned left at the Jinde intersection in Taichung City and hit a separation island. Lin wanted to back up and then turn left. Unexpectedly, he accelerated and reversed, and rushed into the car at high speed. He climbed onto the sidewalk, circled the intersection twice, and knocked down four motorcycles that were waiting at a red light, injuring three people.

Taichung City Police stated that they received a report about a car accident at the intersection of Jinde Road and Fuxing East Road in the East District at about 12:05 noon yesterday.

The police arrived at the scene and found that Mr. Lin was driving a white private car along Jinde Road to turn left to Fuxing East Road.

It hit a separation island, then reversed out of control and hit a stone bench on the sidewalk.
