Three Vehicle Crash After Pursuit in New Orleans
According to New Orleans police, three vehicles were involved in the crash. Those injured were taken to an area hospital by EMS for treatment. NOPD said it was first notified of this incident at about 2:32 p.m. NOPD released the following statement regarding the crash: "The NOPD is investigating a possible vehicle pursuit with injury that occurred today (June 14, 2022) at the intersection of Chef Menteur Highway and Downman Road and left four people injured. "Initial information shows three vehicles involved in this incident. The injured subjects were transported to a local hospital via EMS for treatment. No updates are currently available on their respective statuses. "The incident remains under active investigation. No additional details are currently available. The NOPD's Public Integrity Bureau is reviewing to ensure that all officers involved followed proper protocol." |

Not sure proper pursuit protocol involves high-speed pursuit thru high traffic/pedestrian areas like this intersection.
