Three Die in an Accident Involving Two Trucks and a Car
JUNE 22, 2023, Russia- In the afternoon of June 22, at about 11:15, near the village of Bolshoye Maresevo, two heavy trucks and a VAZ-2109 car collided on 40 km of the Saransk-Surskoye-Ulyanovsk highway. All emergency services went to the scene. Traffic on the road section was temporarily suspended. The driver of the Volvo truck and the Nin passenger died on the spot. Another 4 victims were taken to the hospital, one of whom subsequently died. According to the regional State Automobile Inspectorate, one of the four victims taken to a medical institution after the accident died in the hospital. Which of the cars the man was in is now being found out. According to the main version, the cause of the accident could have been a malfunction of one of the trucks. "The Volvo car, which was driving towards Saransk, had a deformation of the front wheel, as a result of which the truck drove into the oncoming traffic lane and collided with the Skania heavy truck and the VAZ-2109 car," the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Mordovia reported. I think the crash description meant to say that the Volvo truck (not car) blew a tire and then crossed into the oncoming traffic. I think the first popping sound in the video is Volvo truck tire blowing out. |
