Investigators at the Major Collision Bureau alongside 21 Division are investigating the circumstances of a crash that occurred at the intersection of Mountainash Road and Countryside Drive in Brampton.

On Tuesday, May 16, at around 10:24 p.m., officers responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection, that sent two women to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said in a media release.

Home surveillance footage of the collision has been circulating online, appearing to show a dark Audi travelling at high speed colliding with a left-turning vehicle, which was occupied by the women, police alleged.

The Audi was being driven by a 21-year-old, who presently resides in Brampton, police allege. He was arrested and charged with two counts of dangerous operation causing bodily harm, driving under suspension, racing a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

Investigators are reviewing evidence, including multiple video angles, and investigating the possibility that another vehicle may be involved.
