Teenager Loses Head, Van Smashes JKR Pole Hit By Car Loses Control A teenager is believed to have lost his head while two others were injured in a horrific accident involving two vehicles here on Tuesday. In the incident at about 3.36pm, the front passenger of the van, Wah Han Keong, 18, was confirmed dead at the scene due to severe injuries. Kuala Terengganu District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Azli Mohd Noor said they received information regarding the incident at 4.12pm. He said preliminary investigations found that the accident involved a Volkswagen Golf GTI and a Nissan Vanette van. "Investigation found that the car driven by the 43-year-old man was moving from the direction of Kuala Terengganu City towards the Losong Museum. He said that as a result of the violation, the car entered the opposite lane and crashed into a van coming from the direction of Taman Manir towards Kuala Terengganu City. The JKR pole that was hit also fell and penetrated into the van so that it hit the front passenger. The victim suffered serious injuries and was confirmed dead at the scene," he said. Azli said the 49-year-old van driver and an eight-year-old boy who were in the car suffered minor injuries. He said the other four passengers of the car, including a one-year-old baby girl, did not suffer any injuries. "The victim's body was sent to the Forensic Unit of Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital for further action. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987," he said.
