It's weird how the fire seems to have originated from the other side of the room.

Yes, it looks like the gas traveled a distance before it found a source of ignition such as an open flame.

Re: Taiwan - Two Wounded When Guy Drops Gas Cylinder In Kitchen Explosion
The accident happened on the morning of the 5th. When a gas worker was called to replace the gas at a snack bar in Luzhu District, Taoyuan, the handle of the gas cylinder unexpectedly fell off, causing the gas cylinder to fall to the ground and spray continuously. Although the gas worker hurried to turn off the switch, because the boiler in the store was cooking food, of course it caught fire and caused a gas explosion. The whole body of the gas worker was engulfed in flames, and the two restaurant employees and the gas worker who were in the kitchen at that time were frightened to hurry. escape. Not only was the glass of the snack bar shattered, but 20% of the employee's body suffered burns. The gas workers suffered even more, with 60% of their bodies burned and scalded. They are still being treated in the hospital. The gas company said that the steel cylinder had just been inspected on May 4, and the accident that the handle fell off happened the next day, and it really doesn't know how it happened. |
