Part of a crane caught fire and collapsed at a building site at a university in Sydney on Tuesday (27/11/12).
The fire started in the crane's cab at the University of Technology site but the crane driver managed to escape before the arm fell onto the roof of a nearby building, local media reported.
About 200 workers from the site and nearby building were evacuated, and authorities have confirmed that nobody was injured in the accident.
The fire stopped traffic in nearby streets and billowing black smoke could be seen across the central business district.
The crane belonged to construction company Lend Lease, which also owned a crane that collapsed in New York City during superstorm Sandy.
