If you ride, you will notice accumulations of sand and gravel in different parts of the road. Where the tires of the cars go, is usually clean, but both edges and sometimes the middle of the lane can have a LOT of loose stuff built up. It's easy to get into this area, then skid and if you pass the clean area and wind back up in the next area of sand, you just keep going......
