Panic spread at a South Florida gas station when an SUV slammed into a pump and it burst into flames. Surveillance video at the station shows a yellow Hummer waiting for a gas pump.

The SUV pulls in, cuts in front of the Hummer and slams into the pump, which immediately goes up in flames.

"That's what she said, that she lost control and she went straight to the pump," said gas station manager Thomas Lara.

The station attendant says she hit the button that stops the pump and tried to get everyone out of the convenience store.

The SUV driver managed to escape without injuries, and no one else was hurt.

Miami Beach firefighters contained the flames.

Authorities don't expect to charge the driver with anything.

Gilda Ramos was the driver who caused the crash that was caught on camera. "In my mind I thought, I can't die this way," said Ramos.

Ramos said she did not see the yellow Hummer waiting for the pump, and when she pulled ahead of him, the driver hit the horn and she lost control of her Jeep.

"He started honking at me, and I got nervous. Instead of hitting the brakes, I hit the accelerator. That is when the accident occurred," she said.

Moments after the collision, Ramos' sister is seen on the video jumping out of the vehicle and running to help Ramos.

Ramos said she was trapped. "I tried to get out of the car but the door wouldn't open. I kicked the door, and I was able to get out of the car," said Ramos.

Ramos and she and her sister are OK. Ramos said luck was on her side. "I'm glad to be alive and that my sister is OK," she said.
