Republic of Moldova. A serious road accident occurred a short time ago on the R-2 route in the Anenii Noi district. Three people suffered serious injuries following a head-on collision, and rescuers had to intervene to remove the victims from the vehicles.

According to preliminary police information, two cars were involved in the accident - a Subaru and a Volkswagen.

The Subaru was driven by a 50-year-old man. Having reached a dangerous curve, he allegedly veered into the opposite direction of traffic, where the car collided head-on with the Volkswagen coming from the opposite direction.

The second car was driven by a 22-year-old man, and the passenger seat was occupied by a 23-year-old woman. The two are employees of the Anenii Noi Police Inspectorate, but at the time of the accident, they were off-duty.

The impact was strong. All three people involved suffered serious injuries, and rescue teams were called in to free them. Medical teams also intervened on the scene, providing the victims with the necessary assistance.
