In Chicago and Gary, Ind, they used to transport molten steel and iron on train cars, and push them from one plant to another. I saw a disaster report about some guy driving his car in the 1920's who ran into one, and incinerated himself, his car, and his entire family. How someone could miss that such thing is approaching, is beyond ME! But it's hard in this day and age to understand someone walking so close to one of these in an area where if there is the slightest problem, you will be killed on the spot. This is no longer 1890 or 1910.  |
