i'm surprised they didnt have anything to put the fire out with, petrol stations should install big sprinkler systems

Assuming you mean to sprinkle it with water all that would do is spread the fuel around making a bigger fire.

The idiot didn't release the latch when he tried to pull the nozzle out of the burning gas can. He spewed fuel everywhere and that's why the truck went up so fast.
