He seems to have a helmet on, but as hard as it looks like he hit that pole with his head, death wouldn't have surprised me.

It looks bad but he didn't hit the pole hard enough and the helmet saved his ass. That person was going to fast and couldn't negotiate the turn and any competent rider could have got around that pole. Some people have no business on a motorcycle. Pendejo!
