Speedy Ambulance Hits Tricycle Head-on, Killing 2
Philippines, The victims, who were riding a tricycle, were identified as N. H, 24 and R. H, 32, being from the same family. In the force of the collision they were ejected from the vehicle while the tricycle split in two. The ambulance driver overtook two trucks before colliding with the oncoming tricycle on the left. The ambulance did not carry any passengers at the time of the accident. With the dashcam recovered from the ambulance, it was estimated to be driving at a speed of 120 kph or more when the accident occurred. The video recorder that will be used as evidence in the investigation is already in police custody. N.H. leaves behind his wife and two young children while R.H. leaves behind his wife and three young children. The bereaved family is said to have offered Php100K ($2.079,94) assistance from the ambulance driver's family as settlement in exchange for not filing a lawsuit. |

Ambulance driver at fault. But why no mention of the truck that was about to over take the moped driving by in front of it?! Why would the trucker do that? It is clear even with out the ambulance there, he would have caused the crash. But it looks like the truck could have made contact with the ambulance.
