Actually, what happened is his rear tire hit it and lifted the car off the road. On a rear wheel drive car, this would be devastating at high speed or even mid speeds. It basically starts turning the car in the direction still on the pavement and pushing.

Anyone know what kind of car it is?

Awesome video of the accident and would it really be too much to ask for people to do the right thing and stop and check on the people involved in the crash?? I have seen a lot of accidents come bad some just fender benders and every time I have stopped to make sure everyone was ok or the police were on the way.

And if everyone stopped,what would happen? More crashes and its harder for emergency vehicle to get there if there is 3 lanes of stopped cars.Face it the only reason you stop is to see if anyone has popped a head!

No it doesnt.if the driven wheel leaves the ground it spins away the power of engine unless the car has a limited slip diff.the crash was fairly obvious,he hit a big rock,got air,hit guard-rail then bus/truck
