Even if he didn't die right away, an injury like that would put him in a hospital where he has a good chance of acquiring a secondary infection that finishes him off. That's why hip fractures are frequently fatal amongst silver-hairs. It's not the broken bone that kills them but the hospital stay instead.  |

Whenever you cross a street with fast moving traffic you better keep your head on a swivel, looking both ways or get tagged by a inattentive dickhead driver. Tough lesson for him to learn if he did survive, which I doubt he did survive. |
