I think that was a methane gas explosion in the sewer. In the background is a delayed narrow, vertical, explosion, which is likely likely from a manhole. The flying guy probably threw a ffag into the untrapped drain leading to the sewer.

The explosion would have been more firey and even more destructive if it was natural gas.

The fact that the guy was lifted 25 feet indicates a focused vertical explosion occurred. A drain riser from the sewer would have done something like that.

I think the brick building on the left side of the site has a fish basin on its roof, but it might just be a cistern.

I suspect his manhole might have been damaged by the explosion, flight or landing.

He should probably get it checked out.
