Re: Semi-truck Takes Out Farm Tractor While Passing
Apparently they haven't discovered the cutting-edge technology of the "Chase Truck" concept. If you have to drive your tractor or other farming equipment on public roads, it's wise to have a pickup truck following you with its hazard flashers going. I don't know about newer tractors, by my old John Deere 4020 Diesel will only go about 25-30mph (estimated) in its fastest gear. It's real easy for others to run up your ass when they're going 60mph and you're doing 25mph -and- green-colored like the grass all around you. Chase trucks save lives, friends and neighbors. |
