Call it an unstable situation.
York Regional Police are still trying to figure out who put a John Deere tractor in gear and let it loose in the parking lot of a Richmond Hill Walmart Wednesday.

Video shows the tractor haphazardly circling around the lot and smashing into the store and other vehicles.

A York Regional Police cruiser can be clearly viewed on the video pursuing the wayward farm machinery.

Customers, meanwhile, watch in awe during the bizarre incident.

The incident took place at about 9:30 p.m. at the Walmart near Bayview Avenue and Hwy. 7.

3 vehicles, the Walmart building, a fire hydrant, a lamp post and the tractor were damaged.

While the exact cost of the damage is unknown, he suggested it may be more than $50,000.
