Runaway Dump Truck Ploughing Through Traffic in Miami Killing 1, Wounding 10
An elderly woman was killed and a young boy was among 10 people hurt after a runaway dump truck ploughed through traffic at a US intersection. It's not yet clear what caused the driver of the Miami municipal vehicle to lose control, but CCTV of the incident shows the truck moving very fast before the crash, which crushed a yellow taxi and killed the passenger. "The little old lady, she's been riding with us for over 25 years," Guillermo Acosta, the assistant manager of Diamond Cab, told. "She takes the cab every day or every other day. She lives alone, so she goes to do her errands, go to Walgreens, Winn-Dixie, etc. I'm holding my tears like this, but I know I'm going to feel it tonight when I go home." |
