Ecuador. On Sunday, a powerful liquefied petroleum gas explosion completely destroyed the restaurante y Yogurt Yuli. Local yogurt eateries specialize in selling local-style drinking yogurt paired with hot pastries like cassava bread or empanadas.

The force of the shockwave was severe enough to throw the restaurant's main door several meters into the street and cause the total collapse of the facade of the two-story building.

The incident left over 20 people affected, with at least 9 direct injuries reported. Among the most severely injured were two workers who were performing cleaning and maintenance inside the restaurant. Twelve individuals required medical attention.

The explosion severely impacted three adjacent homes and caused structural damages, shattered windows, and debris in at least six other nearby commercial establishments and residences.
