Pumping Gas at the Gas Station Ends with Fire
He used his ignition key to pry off the sunken latch of the hatch which resulted in a spark and therefore fire.

Over the years I have talked to several gas tanker drivers, and all of them reported having fires on their tankers at the loading terminals, at one time or another. Key advice: DON'T SPILL outside the tanker filler lid, and slam it shut if you have a fire. Fire goes out in 3 seconds, and you go back to loading again. Worked every time for them. They didn't mention blowing on it, though.

Yes, let’s add oxygen to the fire DUMBASS! He was awfully concerned about saving his little car. To save my life or from getting burns, I’d bale on my pretty car in a heartbeat.
