Unarmed? Civil disobedience? I suggest you Google or Wikipedia, trucker Reginald Denny of the Los Angeles riots April-29-1992. Mr. Denny was road blocked by a mob, dragged from his truck, attackers stood on his neck, kicked and beat him, robbed him of his billfold, struck him in the head with a brick rendering him unconscious, & beat him with a claw hammer. Oh, it goes on and on too. Isolated incident? No! Peaceful protest, I'm for that- most of your examples were just that, peaceful-(on the part of the protesters). But as you should know, protest's often escalate into violence. The news on protests & violence is all over the television & newspapers.
