Re: Polish Man Injured After Falling Off Climbing Wall
Looking at the climb, in his final move he only had one limb (rt foot) on solid purchase with the rt knee and hips twisted left to hold the foot grip. As he lunged in the right direction to grab top-of-wall, his twisted right leg could not push up and allow him to extend in that direction. Rather, lifting his right leg resulted in a push-off from the wall. He had already abandoned his left foot purchase and his twisted body could not recover that purchase after the push-off. The left hand purchase was worthless because it was at hip level, too low to provide leverage to recover from the push-off. |
