At first glance it looks like something from a Hollywood blockbuster.
But this incredible video footage - which shows a police officer being thrown from his van during a high-speed collision - is a real life scene taken straight from the streets of Belarus.
The dramatic YouTube video shows a busy junction full of vehicles and nearby pedestrians.
All seems to be fine until a white car crosses the junction and collides with an oncoming police van.









The impact causes the police officer driving the van to completely lose control.
As the vehicle tumbles and skids along the road, it narrowly misses a number of barriers as well as a stunned mother and child walking nearby.
But the police officer is not quite so lucky.
As the van rolls onto its side he is forcefully thrown out of the vehicle and onto the ground.
At one point it looks like the large van might hit its driver, with both rolling on the tarmac.
Thankfully the police van comes to a halt shortly before the unfortunate officer.
But what happens next, however, is incredible.
Despite the impact of the high-speed collision and being thrown from the van, the police officer jumps up off the ground straight away.
Although he looks understandably groggy and is holding what is no doubt a huge bump on his head, it seems he has escaped serious injury.
As the video footage comes to an end a number of pedestrians can be seen moving towards the police officer, who no doubt would have appreciated some assistance.

Notice the walker from the left walks up on the cop and didn't high five the lucky skidder cop. These people are jerks. "Nothing going on here, eyes straight ahead, not my business".

No seatbelt? And he is very lucky his body moved at the right second because the van would have rolled on him. Crazy.

I've read a handful of stories about people involved in some sort of accident or altercation they think they felt fine, could talk, and walk, maybe they have a little headache, they don't want med help, but then they die hours or a few days later due to their injuries. Just a caution, don't risk it, get yourself checked out.
