A poorly lit road was the backdrop for a police officer who hit a cyclist last week as she was crossing a Naples Florida street last week. The entire accident was caught on the police cars dash mounted camera.
The woman was hit so hard, the camera was knocked off the dash and the woman was supposedly knocked under the police car. She has reportedly survived the accident.
Residents of the neighborhood where the accident happened are concerned about how dark the street is, due to poor lighting.
"Any road with a speed limit like that, at 45, 50 miles per hour probably should have some light, " said Debbie Vallas, a resident of the community. "Especially when you've got a store like this where you're going to have more people coming to."
The FHP is investigating the crash.
