Piece of Facade Decoration Falls from Building, Critically Injuring a Man
On March 11, in the historic center of St. Petersburg a large piece of facade decoration, stucco, fell from a building, onto a passerby. The injured man is Alexander Arkhipov, the husband of Tatyana Arkhipova, the director of the Bolshoi Drama Theatre. He suffered a severe open craniocerebral injury and a brain contusion. After being admitted to intensive care in critical condition, he was recently stabilized and moved to the neurosurgery department. |

He’s been “brained”.  Hope he gets better although I doubt he’ll ever be the same again after that.  |

He did that little semi-duck right before he got hit. I wonder if he heard or otherwise sensed the facade coming down.
