Pick-up Truck at High Speed Hits Biker and 3 Cars

Guatemala, Yesterday afternoon a pick-driver was speeding and hit a motorcyclist and 3 cars waiting in front of a traffic light.

The biker suffered a broken collarbone and the driver had to be extracted from his vehicle. There were no other major injuries.

Police think the motorist was speeding because of:
President Alejandro Giammattei announced the extension of the nationwide 1800-0400 curfew and other restrictive measures through at least May 3.

The restrictions form part of the nation's ongoing effort to stem the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Under the curfew, only essential workers such as security force members, healthcare staff, and those transporting food to markets will be allowed out of their homes.
