Video from nearby security cameras does not show where the loose tyre came from, but it does reveal the horrific moment it hit Mr Fernandes. Video of the incident shows the tyre striking Roberto Carlos Fernandes in the back of the head. Photo: Viral Press The footage shows the tyre bouncing across the road at speed, while the 50-year-old and his wife walk away from it. The tyre collides directly with the man’s head, which in turn sends him spearing dangerously face-first towards the concrete. His wife immediately stops to try to help him as pedestrians and motorists rush to his side. Bystanders rushed to the injured man's aid after the freak accident.
