A motorist hit a 30-year-old man that crossed the road. The car was driven by a local police officer who was heading home. The officer made an emergency brake but a collision could not be avoided at the unregulated pedestrian crossing. He immediately called an ambulance and a doctor provided first aid to the victim. The victim was taken to a local hospital where he died, the same evening, of his injuries.   |
