Out-of-control Ferry with 140 People on Board Rams Harbour Wall
An out-of-control ferry with 140 people on board - including Brits - has been filmed smashing into a harbour wall. Thirteen people were injured in the incident last night as the ship left the port of Las Palmas in Gran Canaria, one of the Canary Islands, heading for Tenerife. The Naviera Armas ferry suffered electrical failure minutes after departure and the crew tried to return but were unable to control its path. |

Wow! Everyone got off pretty easy on this on. It could have been worse. Can you imagine being on the ferry... or watching it coming in from the seawall itself? Cool vid.

This probably happened because their "Ferry Godmother" wasn't on board.........

Prior to clicking play I was thinking the ferry would have hit the wall a lot harder. Then I noticed it appears they were able to drop the anchor which slowed the ferry down quite a bit.
