The Civil Police (PC) investigates the hit of an elderly man, 67 years old, that happened this Monday (22) in Paraíso, neighborhood of the Southwest region of Anápolis.

Jairo Patrício da Silva was rescued and taken unconscious to the Anápolis State Emergency Hospital Dr. Henrique Santillo (HUANA) after a Ribeiro Supermarket truck passed over him in the early afternoon.

The driver of the vehicle was Gabriel Santiago Nascimento, 18, who does not have a National Driver's License (CNH).

In testimony to the PC, the boy said he was going on Avenida Circular and when he entered Rua Paraguaçu he lost control when trying to dodge a dog.

Gabriel said that, when doing this maneuver, he went up with the truck on a sidewalk and ran over Jairo when he was returning to the street.

He also took responsibility for the fact that after the accident he still hit a post and knocked down the wall and gate of a residence.
