I saw this happen recently on the interstate to a person behind me. Just happened to look in the rear view mirror at the right time. They kept driving for about 10 seconds before they pulled over.

I was in a little fiesta van travelling down the motorway when this happened to us. Luckily we were next to the hard shoulder and nothing went wrong!

Happened to me as well! Very scary expierience. Just b/c its so unexpected. I was lucky and had about an inch gap at the bottom of the windshield. Some cars don't have that!!!!!
