One Killed, 6 Injured when Bike Slams into 6 Pedestrians
At approximately 10:00 AM on March 20, 2026, a traffic accident occurred at the north end of the Jinsha River Railway-Highway Bridge. Preliminary investigation revealed that Zhang M, 18, was driving a motorcycle when he collided with 6 pedestrians walking on the right side of the Railway-Highway Bridge at the north end of the bridge, resulting in one death and injuries of varying degrees to himself and the other five. Currently, all the injured are receiving treatment in the hospital and are not in life-threatening condition. Tests revealed that the driver, Zhang M, had a blood alcohol concentration of 68mg/100mL. He has been taken into custody by the police, and the accident investigation and follow-up work are being carried out in accordance with the law. |

I get that the guy on the bike was intoxicated but WTF!?!  Are all those people doing standing around on the freeway!?!   |
