One Dead and Eight Injured After Pile-Up Caused by Bus
Mississauga, Ontario, Canada A woman is dead after a multi-vehicle crash involving a MiWay bus Mississauga that injured at least eight other people on Thursday. Police said several vehicles were waiting at a red light when a transit bus failed to stop, triggering the crash. In a news conference, police said a woman driver who was critically injured later died in hospital. Of the eight others hurt, two suffered serious injuries while six suffered minor injuries. The director for the the city's transit system, MiWay, said in a statement that the driver of the bus is in hospital being treated for their injuries and will be placed on leave while the investigation is underway. |
