A woman identified as Ana K.C. died after a motorcycle accident yesterday near Boa Vista. A female passenger riding pillion suffered a fractured femur and was taken to the General Hospital.

Ana was riding a borrowed motorcycle when she lost control after going over a speed bump hit the mirror of a parked pick-up truck. The pillion rider fell off the bike and Ana and her bike hit a trash can and the gate of a residence.

Emergency Medical Services (SAMU) teams were called, but Ana succumbed to her injuries and died at the scene.

The victim's body was collected by the Forensic Medical Institute (IML). The motorcycle involved remained at a local resident's home until the owner could retrieve it.
