There was a long flexible pipe in a hole. There was high pressure in the hole. The pipe came out of the hole. |

Yeah, but usually they lift the pipe out, one section at a time, with the drill rig. And there's no explosion or fire. So I wondered what the logic was.  |

They hit a gas pocket. The pressure had nowhere to go but out the hole. So it shot the drilling pipe out.
