Nurse on a Bike Flies Being Hit Hard by a Speeding Nissan
Thailand, The video shows a nurse sitting on a bike at the traffic lights before she is hit from behind by a speeding Nissan whose driver alleged that the brakes failed, the woman on the motorbike was propelled some 30 meters down the road and reportedly miraculously survived. In the footage a large crowd of people can be seen rushing to the scene, however no one seems to be attempting to aid the victim with many assuming that she must have died. The victim on the motorcycle identified as Patchanok, 23, did survive the accident and was taken by medical personnel to the Nog Bua Lamphu hospital before later being transferred to a hospital in Udon.  The driver of the Nissan 38-year-old Wannapatsorn told officers that she hit the brakes but they didn’t work. Officers have since charged her with negligent driving causing injury. Many people commented online that the woman’s story about the brakes not working didn’t quite add up as you can hear the car’s brakes lock-up prior to the accident. Also the traffic cop doing nothing for the victim as they're only interested in handing out traffic violation tickets. |

Holy hell  yeah I don't think the "my brakes didn't work" excuse would convince anyone. They sure stopped her quickly after she plowed into the woman on the bike  |

Even the Cop did absolutely NOTHING!  Why do they even wear helmets in this part of the world? The thing that flys the highest and farthest at impact seems to always be the helmet... |

I wondered about the helmet also. Another new Thai video in this section has a flying helmet. Do they not use the strap? I don't do motorbikes, so I have no idea how the helmets work...

I saw that one too. Yes there is a strap and when done correctly, the helmet stays on unless you aren't going to survive anyway.
